Honest!
But somehow I ended up with a beard full of feathers whilst guarding this morning. I think I found someone’s dinner left-overs.
Actually I ‘sort of’ caught a pheasant myself the other day. Dad and I were walking around the Lakes when we came across this pheasant which was stuck in a small enclosure … great excitement on my part … I dashed in, came out with a mouthful of feathers, dashed in again … and the pheasant stopped running about obviously accepting it’s inevitable fate! … Well, that’s no fun at all, so I sniffed at it … and walked away. It lived to see another day.
We’ve had a lot of rain in the last 2 weeks and the river by the Lakes was flowing very high. One morning me and Mum found a dead swan there 🙁 That was sad. I had a little sniff around it.
A few days later when we were up there again I saw these two swans on our side of the river quite a way away.
You can just make out the white dot in the distance. These pictures were taken with a phone camera – hence not so good.
Anyway I stopped and looked …
… and eventually sat down to watch them … for 10 minutes.
When I’d finished watching them I carried on past them without bothering them 🙂 I like swans. Later on by the river I was ‘beachcombing’ the bank and found this excellent ball!
Mum said it’s a reward for being such a good boy with the swans!
🙂 🙂
Bye for now.
Finni
oops! Poor pheasant!
That’s neat that you found a ball, Finni! We don’t mind swans either – I guess it’s because we have one!
Love ya lots,
Maggie and Mitch
You are good fini not touching any of the birds, but hey where did those feathers in your beard come from unless you are turning in to a bird hahahahahahahah.
Great photos but the river looks a tad chilly.
Not long now next Tuesday when Otto comes yippeeeeeee.

Ummmmmmmmmmmm Finni if I had been with you it would not have lived to see another day. Hee hee. Molly xxx
