Hi All & Happy New Year!
Hope you had a lovely Christmas – we did! But first things first:
Here are the Beard measurements for the Gooberstanian Beard Competition!
That’s 3.5 inches! My beard hasn’t grown longer but I think it has become fuller …
Back in November the tips were only just measuring 3.5 inches. Aaah well… Anyway, this is my entry for the muddiest beard competition – I’m quietly confident of having one of the muddiest beards around!
… and here is how I did it (just in case anyone wanted to try …)
Nelly insisted on having her beard measured too …
This was not an easy job, she kept trying to eat the ruler … she eats everything at the moment – she is teething. 7 new teeth!!! Anyway somehow we managed it …
… 1.5 inches !!!!! Very respectable. We think she is under 25 lb but couldn’t be sure. She is a magnificent and enthusiastic raw feeder and now loves to tackle the sort of hard bones I have … I think she eats more than me!
Christmas was wonderful but we think it should be renamed … Chaos Fest! Amelie was unwrapping her presents in the living room
… and we were unwrapping ours in the kitchen and garden …
Nelly particularly liked the pink pig – it made a noise every time she squeezed it but she couldn’t figure out where the noise came from. Took her ages to figure it out 😛 .
And for the Queen’s Speech she just crashed out with her favourite elk …
Thank you Molly and Taffy for those lovely presents, the Christmas pudding tug toy looked so delicious I ate it!!! (I don’t usually eat toys!) Nelly just loves the squeaky reindeer tug toy … and Taffy … the ball … we obviously share a passion for squeaker balls. Thanks matey!
Thanks also to Scooby for the lovely Christmas pudding and the squeaky cracker … they’re great! Thank you also to Bandit for the pink pig!!! and to Mike and Kate for the lovely Santa and Reindeer tug toys – we love them all!!!! But I think we need a bigger toy box
New Year Eve was pretty uneventful, I had a few barking sessions at fireworks but saw the New Year in with a well cooked cheese sauce dish. Nelly and I are being kept apart at such times as she isn’t really bothered about fireworks but always backs me up when we’re together.
From Nelly and me …
Bye for now.
Finni
Happy New Year Finni and Nelly.
You certainly had loads of pressies and definitely need a new toy box!!!
Well Finni we have the same length beards…..do you think they will ever grow any longer? I am so upset mine did not grow. Your entry for muddiest beard is awesome.
Molly and Taffy
Oh my lord…our beards are shrinking while yours is growing in leaps and bounds.
Look at little Nellie. She is a sweety. I bet she loved her first Christmas with all of you.
Happy New Year Pals and all the best to you all for 2009.

Finni!
That is one fine looking beard, my friend… with or without the mud. But, that muddy beard is looking extra juicy! My Aunties here in GooberStan are judging that part of the competition, so we shall see how that goes.
Nelly has a very respectable beard for one so young. She will be in the 25 lb and under competition.
Looks like you had a fun holiday! Hope the fireworks weren’t too much.
Goober love & smooches,
Stanley
A very impressive beard, Finni – with or without the mud! Do we see your mom gripping one of Nellie’s toofies to keep her still?! hehehe
What nice pressies you got! Yes, you do need a larger toybox!
Love ya lots,
Maggie and Mitch
Your beard is so full and impressive Finni! You are one handsome dude!
your beard is very good well done.
Come to my blog i have something for you
Those are GREAT beard measuring pictures!!!! Yours is a bit longer than mine and definitely looks LUSHER. I don’t know what happened, I think mine actually shrank! And Nelly’s looks to be perfect for her size. 🙂
Love,
Bogart
